Uganda: 113 people have been reported missing

The Ugandan police announced that 113 people were missing and were taken by the mob, while 15 were identified as dead and another 15 injured were rescued and taken to hospital.

Among the 15 people killed in this attack, there are 6 children and adults, according to the Police of this country.

The storm, caused by heavy rains, affected many parts of Bulambuli District, near the capital city of Kampala.

The storm also destroyed 40 houses and search operations are still ongoing.

The storm killed people after Wednesday, Uganda's Prime Minister Robinah Nabbaja, warned people to expect a disaster and should take precautions.

The water continued to rise causing flooding in schools and churches, destroying buildings. The Ugandan government has sent soldiers to rescue and search for the bodies of the victims, but it is suspected that the missing are buried under the mud.

The Ugandan army through twitter announced that two boats that were going to rescue a taxi that ran aground near Pakwach Town sank and one 'engineer' died.

On Thursday, the Speaker of the Parliament, Anita Among expressed her condolences to the families who lost their loved ones in the floods that hit different parts of the country.

The Red Cross, in collaboration with the Ugandan security forces and various authorities are still continuing the search for the missing.
