The Chinese website, TikTok, has been taken to court in the United States of America, accused of distracting children who are under the age of majority, so that they spend a lot of time because of the information they keep showing them.

The lawsuit was filed on Tuesday in 14 US states. The company is accused of showing children content that is related to their interests, and continues to force them to spend more time on TikTok.

TikTok has denied the allegations, saying there is no truth in them. The agency said it regretted that the United States decided to take it to court, instead of working together to resolve the issue.

The company that produced TikTok, which is ByteDance, has been involved in other lawsuits in the United States, where it is accused of handing over the secrets of its users to the Chinese government. It's a charge that could get it banned in the US.
