A man has been sentenced to 30 years in prison for raping a 102-year-old woman

A man named Ntamaboko Pasiano, who lives in the Sikonge area of Tabora county in Tanzania, was sentenced to 30 years in prison after the court found that he raped a 102-year-old woman.

On September 17, 2024, the Court of Appeal confirmed this 30-year sentence after which it found that Ntamaboko Pasiono had forcibly raped a 102-year-old woman.

The court said that Ntamaboko had appealed those years he had been sentenced by the local court, where he said that he committed the crime as a result of drunkenness, but the appeals court found that it was not proven that Ntamaboko was drunk, the court said that the appeal is groundless and that people all of them were drunk without committing the crime of rape.

The woman who was raped had told the court that when Ntamaboko raped her, he told her that he was so sweet that he should not leave her.
